We have been reviewing the ever-evolving guidelines provided by the State and feel that we can launch in July and stay within the guidelines. After consulting with the DNR and Minnesota Department of Health, they have ruled that we fall under the “social gathering” category, so we are unfortunately limited to 25 total attendees. Since we need some support (e.g. LCO, Gary, and a few others) it’ll be fewer than that in flyers allowed on the field.
Since we can only have 25 total attendees we will plan a 2-day Saturday July 11 / Sunday July 12 event with registration and a lottery to determine who can fly and on which day. There will be no tag-alongs, no spectators, and no groups, club member flyers only. Brian will take care of all club functions (LCO, RSO, trackers) to save on spots, so we can have a total of 22 flyers each day. Setup will be at 8, with flights starting by 9 AM, finishing at 5 PM or when we run out of people wanting to fly. PLEASE show up early to help with setup and stay to help with tear-down.
Due to the limited availability we are asking to limit this to senior members only (no children).
Instructions for how to register were sent in email. Please do NOT show up if you are not on the list, we will be checking against the list and turning away any who are not on the list. There will be no spectators allowed.
