Balls 2006 Scale Engine Test

Dave conducted the first (of probably many) scale engine test. This test used a 54mm engine case with an oak nozzle designed to ablate and reduce nozzle pressure as the propellant burns. The core is Dave's Black propellant in a single C grain. Attached is a must see video of this static test. This video is affectionately titled "The little engine that could".

The Minnesota Balls Project 2006

Tripoli Minnesota is going to Balls. Balls is the Tripoli National Experimental Launch, held September 16-18, 2005 in Black Rock, NV.

This year, Dave is planning a 2 stage rocket with approximately an O3000 for the booster and a M1000 for a sustainer. Estimated altitude is around 80,000 ft. Sorry, no riders.

Follow along as we wander the long road to Balls 2006.
