Launch Announcement - Day and Night!
  • North Branch, MN - Central Turf Farms Flying Field
  • Setup starts at 9:00 am  (I hope to have the field staked by then)
  • Flying starts at 10:00 am, closes at 5 pm
  • Night flying can start at 7:00 pm
  • Please stay for tear-down if you can
  • Waiver to 20,000ft weather dependent (day)
  • Waiver to 5,000ft (night)
Final Call: The Launch is a GO!
The forecast for Saturday looks a bit gusty, with low clouds.  This seems to be standard practice for the season.  There are MANY certification flights planned for tomorrow.  Usually, for L1 flights is won't be a problem, but plan altitude accordingly.
 
Bring anchors for your canopy... Flashlights and head lamps, COLD weather gear (jacket, hat, and gloves) if your staying after dark.
Night launch this month...  The waiver is use it, or loose it!
We will have to keep an eye on the winds, but being we are flying low it should be good enough.
There were several people that said they wanted to fly, including 2 rockets from UMN.  I don't think it will take long to launch everything, so it should be an early night.
On-Field Provisions:
 
Off We Go Rocketry - Gary will be attending the launch with a large assortment of rocket motors and rocketry related supplies.
 
Food Vendor - Nothing this launch.  Please plan accordingly.  
 
Rest Room - We will have a handicap accessible porta potty at the field.
 
Trash - There are usually two trash cans located near the LCO table.  Please use them.

FRS / GMRS Channel 4 for all club radio transmissions.
